Workshop Studio and Painting

Statement

Everyone needs play time. We also need learning, innovation, beauty and community. My name is Zoya Scholis. I lead Creativity Workshops. As an experienced professional, I offer solid support for your creative process. Over 20 years of experience have allowed me to refine and balance my skills as a painter and a teacher.

I consciously design the workshops to engage the senses including humor! and get us thinking metaphorically. My methods are supported by current brain research. It is exciting because all the enthusiasm we felt as kids is welcomed back into our lives through creativity.

Even if you consider yourself a beginner, your inherent creativity will be gently and respectfully coaxed into fruition.

For the experienced painter, the workshops provide novel exercises and an opportunity to commune with other creative people. I love what I do. If you are not 100% satisfied with your experience I will refund your money.

Testmonies

– Amanda C, Salinas, CA 2000 –

Her classes are never boring. She brings different materials, fun demonstrations and new ideas each time. We used loosely guided imagery coupled with appreciation and humor. My collage, a triptych, reminds me of my personal vision toward health that the workshop inspired.”

– Mary S, Cupertino, CA 2012–

Her approach is novel in that it’s grounded in brainbased learning. There are lots of good workshops out there. Zoya’s are on the A-list.”

– Dave R, San Jose, CA 2009–

Zoya is able to affirm my painting style in new ways while giving valuable feedback and suggesting references for further study and improvement - an excellent teacher.” Joyce Y, Saratoga CA 2011 “Zoya’s effort, knowledge and dedication made the time spent a rewarding experience for me.”

–Sarah S, Monterey, CA 2007 –

“It was a very nurturing experience for me. I couldn’t believe how good my work turned out.”

– Lynn D, Cupertino, CA 2011–

The minute Zoya walked in I knew she was a great teacher, organized, friendly, cheerful. We were encouraged to experiment. I had the most fun painting that I ever had.”
